DANIEL MEAKIN & ART FRIENDS EXHIBITION

Exciting news. West Kirby-based, international artist, and our friend at The Wirral Way magazine, Daniel Meakin will be headlining a new exhibition at the Startyard venue on the waterfront in Birkenhead. ​
This inspiring exhibition brings together a group of talented artists, each with their own unique style and story to tell.
Daniel Meakin – With 35 years of executing and selling his paintings internationally, Daniel creates stunning mixed-media pieces blending contour, colour, collage, and composition to form imaginative, often fantastical visual stories.
Other featured artists include: Clare Wrench (landscape artist), Derek Prescott, (acrylic on canvas), Gary Di Franco (layered acrylics), Olena Kosheva (watercolour & mixed media), Wendy Woo (sketches to upcycling), and Fai McCabe (transforming the Rubik's Cube, vibrant, intricate works).

MEET SANTA AT HOYLAKE RNLI!

Hoylake RNLI will be welcoming a very special visitor from the North Pole on Saturday 6 December for a magical festive event. Santa is coming!
Father Christmas will be stopping in at Hoylake RNLI lifeboat station and inviting children and families to join him for a memorable experience alongside the charity’s volunteer lifesavers.
Young visitors will have the chance to meet Father Christmas and take a photograph with him. They'll also receive an exclusive RNLI goodie bag as a gift to take home.
Bring a letter for Father Christmas to post back to the North Pole – providing an email address so he can reply personally to each one.
Plus, you'll also have a chance to see Hoylake RNLI’s all-weather Shannon class lifeboat ‘Edmund Hawthorn Micklewood’ and Inshore Rescue Hovercraft ‘Hurley Spirit’. What a day!

HOYLAKE RNLI & SAILING CLUB SLATER CUP TUG-OF-WAR
Friday 26th December | BOXING DAY | 12 noon | Hoylake Lifeboat Station, Hoylake
It wouldn't be Boxing Day without the Slater Cup Tug-of-War between Hoylake Lifeboat and Hoylake Sailing Club. Great fun and it also raised over £2,000 for the lifesaving work of the local RNLI last year. Putting the fun into fundraising.
This year will be poignant as Terry Slater - who's husband founded the Slater Cup and who presented it last year at the incredible age of 101 - sadly passed away this year. So, it will not only be a great fundraiser it will also be a great legacy for her and her family.​
